so i was cutting some really spicy peppers and i made the awful mistake of not wearing any gloves and i'm paying for it..... my left hand is tingling.... which is remarkably better than before when it was burning ;_; i felt it while i was showering since the water was warm... on one hand it was fine but on the other it burned like the dickens D: terrible sensation.
but i absolutely love the internet. it came up with all these things people have tried to help soothe the burning (beside simply waiting it out).... and vinegar, lemon, salt, ice water, ice water + ajax or comet (or some other abrasive), milk, baking soda, vegetable oil... etc
i've tried the first couple.... up to milk.... the ice water + comet and milk seemed to be the most effective. the burning feeling became a tingling feeling when my hand warms up to body temp :/ but when it's in the solution there's no discomfort.... so what's been helping me a lot is putting some ice in a towel and holding it. haha.
but HUGE note to self.... latex gloves next time.... pepper juice = evil :<

but i just wanted to inform you all quickly.... just before i forget.... i don't know if you guys reuse water bottles.... but i do.... and i just found out it's bad :x
because it's linked to breast cancer (when the plastic bottle goes from high heat to low some of the plastic can end up in the water which is bad for us).

all soft plastics (1) are bad (use once) and some hard plastics are bad ... for example #7.... which i have =(

school started and so far i've been goofing off. haha. i saw notes of a scandal over the weekend which was interesting. a good interesting. kinda funny... but i tell you.... old ladies scare me now D: lol. or maybe just the main char lady.

anywho.... i had anthro today.... blaahhh. haha. not my favorite class at all. i talked to christine and she said the last day to change to pass/no pass might have been sixth week D: awww poopy... i guess i'll just hope for a B. lol.

lab was actually..... surprisingly.... not too bad.... i'm surprised to say.... i actually enjoyed today. so much i lost track of time. at 7 i exclaimed, "we're getting out an hour early!!" thinking it was 6. lol. so silly. but because i was so out of it time-wise, i was (or still am XP) in a really good mood =) and not extremely tired afterwards like usual. it's.... kinda nice. especially since after lab i always look forward to having dinner with allyson. yay for taco tuesday! lol. fun stuff indeed XD;;
for lab... we made color dyes!! two ways: one by making an azo compound and the other by grignard reagent rxn way. it was kinda cool. and we used this fabric thing that had 13 strips of various pieces of cloth to see how the dye interacts with the cloth by two processes: direct dyeing and ingrain process. it was neat! i had this red color and this crystal violet color (although i do kinda prefer the malachite green but oh well)... in a way, thang and i made this lab seem kinda morbid by emphasizing the words dying (the fabric)... and hanging (the cloth to dry)... and how my compound was blood red and whatnot. lol. it was funny at the time. i hope i have lab with both thang and allyson next quarter!!!

heehe. i'm in such a happy mood.... i think i might just.... work a little before sleeping :D maybe like 30 minutes. haha. XP (but it's better than nothing!)

i know it's a day early.... but where you live it's three hours ago, right?? (i think :x) so technically it'd be around midnight over there... so HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUGARB!!! XD

weird.... had my first bio discussion today and that professor.... well.... first off.... i forgot his name but i'm sure skeeve told me before but you know the guy from the commercial "when eyes are red and dry use clear eyes, clear eyes has the ingredigent that...." yadda yadda. you know him right?? okay. good. and have you seen will and grace? and remember that guy jake?? now, imagine of an older version of him.... and merge it with that clear eyes guy (if possible and believe me it kinda is!) and then pretend he ingested a microphone (because he is very very loud without one.... i can out of the room feeling deaf D: ).... that hybrid of a man is my biochem prof!! or well discussions-leader-teacher-person.

anywho... it's official. i just wasted 4 hours. great. e_e;; lol. i blame lab D: i felt so unmotivated to work afterwards.... oh well :/ it'll pass.... tomorrow.... i hope :x

i picked up a really good book yesterday! wizard's first rule by terry goodkind. i hope to finish it before school starts again. lol. i had all these books i wanted to read over break... but i made the mistake of starting with eldest (the continuation of eragon) it could have been the huge span of time that past which made me forget about some of the characters.... or maybe i had this high expectation for it.... but it was not as interesting as the first one. heh. i couldn't even bring myself to finish it. not even close. heh. normally it takes me... well possibly around 80 pages to actually really get into a book.... but after 200 pages... i still did not feel urged to read on.... nor could i pick myself to actually pick up another book because of it. lol. so silly.... ^^;;
but the wizard book.... i was hooked after 10 pages. XD;; omg! it's great!! it got me excited to read again. lol. i love richard and zedd XD

my computer is so so soooo stupid D: it won't---or maybe it just simply can't at the moment---open any microsoft programs D: no microsoft word. no powerpoint. no excel..... argh it's driving me insane! you stupid machine!! DX
well i guess i should be glad that it's only half broken meaning that it can at least turn on and let me chat and listen to music and use the internet. lol. at least it's not in a coma like.... last quarter :x my poor baby D:
i need to take better care of it ^^;; i wanted to do a viral scan.... but norton's a poopyhead and won't let me D: i guess it's waiting for tomorrow to happen first because then it'll go on and do its weekly scan.... and doing it a day early is just so upsetting for it.... lol.

i vacuummed the whole place XD;; heehe. and really tired from it too.
i'm going to retire to listening and sitting to listen while crocheting. hahaha. all i need is a rocking chair and then i'll really feel old. lol.

i got to hang out with kat yesterday :D :D and i had a blast! it was a lot of fun looking at pictures and hearing stories :D :D heehe. that was my highlight of the day :D (i know i should stop with the smilies but i can't help it :x)
and tomorrow i get to see the eden :D (and skeeve and huma?? yes? no?) to pick up the scott from the airport! X3 how exciting. i haven't been to the airport in such a long time. lol.
and and more good news?? 3 out of 6.... userpics?!!? when did we get the ability to have more?? XD;; lol. that's pretty cool in itself X3
and and the thing i'm making is coming along just fine :D so far i haven't made any mistakes :D at least not any huge ones that i can see. heehe. and i thought maybe i don't have enough yarn... and maybe it's too wide ^^;;... and maybe it won't be long enough... but i'm thinking.... it'll be fine. it'll be all good in the end.... because i say so XD;; and what i say goes as law!! at least in my head. hahaha. i'm in a weird mental state at the moment but it's all good. i'll figure out how to deal with my laptop later.... and it'll be done before school starts again! no doubt about that XD
